Just Keep Swimming...

So, I'm really still bad at keeping up with things like this... but I'm still here working on it, so that's what really counts anyway.

Today I am grateful for a computer warranty that got my computer fixed without any fees, as well as for an external hard drive that has everything on it until a few months ago. (Which means I'll never be able to reread my German paper that I was slightly afraid to read, even if I wanted to. I really hope I don't need anything from last semester ever again... Thank goodness my polished journal is online on the German BYU page!)

I'm grateful for my internship. I feel like I'm starting to get the hang of things (a month and a half into it, with really only about two months left.) And, I greatly enjoy the monetary benefits.  I'm really grateful for all of the people who let me carpool with them, too. I have a feeling I'll be doing a lot of goodie baking at the end of summer.

I'm grateful for my ability to make yummy foods that people enjoy. I love making people smile. I'm especially grateful for the people who go out on a limb and try my more adventurous creations and let me know what could be better.

I'm grateful for things that make me smile and laugh. I love singing, and am grateful that I can listen to my music at work. I'm grateful for good movies (most recently my favorite movie has become The Avengers... Tom Hiddleston is so handsome... hehe!) and the Big Mo to see them at!

I'm grateful for friends who visit, and for those who can't but would if they could. I'm grateful to be going back to BYU in the fall. I'm so grateful to be here with my family for the summer.

I'm grateful for the plants that are growing in our garden. I'm afraid I do not possess a very green thumb, but at least I haven't killed all of the vegetables off yet.

I'm grateful for future opportunities. I love making plans for the future, especially because they all seem so possible! I can do anything I put my mind to! I'm grateful for these dreams and hopes, and I'm hoping so much that I'll see them through to the end! (Which, first and foremost, means a second, shorter internship at MOX next summer cut shorter than this summer for a trip with BYU to Germany!! I would love to go to Germany.. and I really want to become a better German speaker. Gotta keep workin' on it! Just like everything else... one step at a time...)

I'm grateful for my Heavenly Father, who is always there for me, even if I don't always remember it right away. I'm grateful for the scriptures, for the Spirit, and for the peace and guidance they bring. I'm grateful for temples and for eternal families. I'm grateful for Institute (one thing that BYU does not exactly have), for the things I learn there, and for the friends I get to learn them with.

And, last but not least, I'm grateful for this great feeling I get when I think of all the things I'm grateful for.

Good night!
